Apart from the order form for the printed magazine, this website works without forms, without analytics tools, without advertising pixels and without embedded social media content. No cookies requiring consent are set. Whatever data does arise is set out below. This English version is provided for convenience; the German version is legally binding.

Hosting
This website is operated by an external service provider. Personal data arising when the site is accessed is stored on that provider's servers — primarily IP addresses and technical access data. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in providing the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with the provider.
Server logs
When the pages are accessed, data transmitted by your browser is recorded automatically: browser type and version, operating system, referring page, host name, time of the request and IP address. This data is not combined with other sources and is not used to identify individuals. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Contact by email or phone
If you write or call, I process the information you provide in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry serves the initiation or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Your data remains stored until you ask me to delete it, withdraw your consent, or the purpose ceases to apply. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected. No data is passed on without your consent.
Ordering the printed magazine
If you order a printed copy of Tiefgang via the order form, I process the details you provide there — name, company, email address, billing and, where applicable, shipping address, quantity and optional details such as a reference number and VAT ID — in order to handle shipping and invoicing. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data is passed to the contracted shipping company and to my tax adviser to the extent required, and retained in line with commercial and tax law periods.
Receiving new notes
If you write to tell me that you would like to receive new notes from the Leadership Logbook, I store your email address for that purpose alone. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw it at any time without formality; a single line by email is enough. Your address is then deleted. It is not passed on to third parties.
No cookies, no analytics
This website sets no cookies for analytics or advertising purposes. No visitor statistics, advertising pixels or reach measurement services are used. A consent banner is therefore not required.
Fonts
The fonts used are stored locally on the server. No connection to third-party servers is established when the pages are accessed.
External links
Individual pages link to third-party offerings such as LinkedIn, Spotify, Amazon or appointment scheduling via Microsoft Bookings. These are ordinary links; no content from these providers is embedded and no data is transmitted to them when my pages are accessed. Only once you click a link do the privacy terms of the respective provider apply. If you book an appointment via Microsoft Bookings, Microsoft Corporation processes the data you enter there under its own privacy terms.
Encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the “https://” in the address bar and the padlock symbol in your browser.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored data, as well as the right to rectification or erasure. You may request restriction of processing and have a right to data portability. You may withdraw consent you have given at any time without formality; the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point remains unaffected.
Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). You may object to processing for direct marketing purposes at any time without giving reasons.

Advertising by email
The use of contact data published in the legal notice to send unsolicited advertising is hereby prohibited. I reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising.
Job applications
If you apply to me, I process your documents in order to decide on an employment relationship. The legal basis is Section 26 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If no employment results, the documents are deleted six months after the procedure concludes, unless you have agreed to longer retention.
