The future of leadership and work in the age of AI
What happens when AI performs the very tasks on which people learn today? And how does leadership avoid chaos and the disempowerment of people?
Artificial intelligence researches, analyzes, writes and decides. It takes over individual tasks and soon entire workflows. That raises productivity. But it also changes how people gain experience, develop judgment and experience their own contribution.
The decisive bottleneck of the coming world of work is not computing power. It is human attention. It determines whether we decide carefully, learn new things and take responsibility, or merely react to results whose origins we do not understand.
Sebastian Morgner sketches two possible futures. In one, AI compresses work: fewer entry-level tasks, fewer chances to learn, more control and an even higher pace. In the other, it removes unnecessary work and creates room for learning, creativity, good decisions and human encounter.
Which future arrives is not decided by the technology. It is decided by the goals organizations pursue with it.
Drawing on the theses of the Zukunftsallianz Mensch & KI (Future Alliance for People and AI), Sebastian Morgner shows which course companies have to set now. His keynote combines personal experience, concrete examples and one clear question: what do we want to do with the productivity we gain?

Participants translate the keynote into their own organization.
Optional deep dive
The keynote can be followed by a World Café or a future workshop. Participants work on four questions:
- Which work should disappear in future?
- Which capabilities must we build deliberately?
- Where should AI not decide?
- How do we use the productivity we gain?
The results form first guidelines for how people and AI will work together.
